Question: Radar level gauges and guided radar level gauges both fall under the category of radar level gauges. I have a general understanding of the differences between them in terms of structure and principle, but I’m still not clear about when to use a radar level gauge and when to use a guided radar level gauge. I would appreciate it if experienced users could provide some guidance. What principles should be used to determine whether to choose a radar level gauge or a guide radar? Is it based on the medium, the type of storage tank, or other factors?

It is mainly based on the dielectric constant of the liquid being measured; for liquids with a low dielectric constant, a guided wave radar level gauge should be used.
