The damper plates we use are all difficult to open – are they deformed or stuck? Material?
The structural dimensions of the damper plates you have made might not be appropriate, and this has nothing to do with the material used.
Agree with the person above; it has little to do with the material. It’s probably rusted, so apply some oil to lubricate it.
I’m not sure if by air damper you mean one for the blower, the exhaust fan, or the air chamber. For the blower’s baffle, this situation is likely due to rust; applying some lubricant should resolve the issue. The dampers of the induced draft fan are prone to ash deposition and deformation due to high temperatures. Gray dust accumulates; regular movement is needed after cleaning. Deformation may be related to thickness and material. The baffle in the wind chamber is likely caused by high temperatures and fine ash. The size of the baffle should be fine. (You didn’t mention that it’s a phenomenon that appears after the modification.) Identify the cause and take appropriate measures. I hope you can resolve the issue as soon as possible.

The difficulty in opening the damper has nothing to do with its material. Significant stress exists during the manufacturing of the baffle, and deformation occurs as a result of stress release after installation ; 3. There are also reasons such as a narrow sliding groove width, low roughness, inadequate maintenance, severe rusting, and insufficient lubrication ; Solution: If it is due to reasons 1.2., it is recommended to carry out correction or reinforcement, as well as improve maintenance.
More use and lubrication are still needed! If it really doesn’t work, check if there’s a problem with the bolt or replace it!
