Is it necessary for workshop teams to have a certain number of fire-resistant suits?
I’m not sure what kind of fire-resistant suit the original poster is referring to. If it’s a fire-fighting suit, it depends on the specific circumstances of your organization; personally, I think it’s fine, or protective clothing can be used as a substitute. If it’s a specialized fire-resistant suit, it’s very expensive, ranging from several thousand to over ten thousand yuan; in that case, there’s no need for it.
I’m referring to specialized fire-resistant suits; our workshop has requested two sets of them, mainly for use in fire drills. It’s likely that they won’t be needed at all in the event of an actual accident

However, putting on professional fire-resistant clothing is a time-consuming process that often requires the cooperation of several people, which greatly delays the optimal time for dealing with the incident

In my opinion, it can’t be said that it’s because one can’t fit into the clothing or for the sake of drills. It is necessary to consider the actual situation of the company; if there is indeed a risk of fire and it is essential to use fire-resistant clothing, then several sets should be purchased. Can’t put the cart before the horse?
The company only provides 3 sets for our key positions, those in the urea and synthetic ammonia production areas, but all employees in the plant are required to learn how to use them
It depends on the actual conditions of the workshop; if the risk of fire is relatively high, it might be necessary, but otherwise it’s not worth it, as the investment is large while the returns are small, and management will consider it a waste of funds allocated for safety. It might end up causing trouble for them
I have some objections to this claim! Those who are responsible for safety work must bring to the attention of their supervisors anything they think could affect safety and needs to be addressed. As for whether the supervisor agrees or approves it, that is the supervisor’s decision! In that case, if an accident occurs in this area in the future, it will have nothing to do with you at all! It’s entirely the leader’s responsibility! When acting in a safe manner, be sure to remember to avoid taking on relevant responsibilities – you can’t bear all the responsibility by yourself!
