Our company is in the planning stage, and we have doubts regarding the measurement of wax oil. Since we need to purchase wax oil externally, we are wondering whether measurement using a flow meter can ensure that it meets trade-grade standards Are there any other good ways to measure it?
For production purposes, a regular gear flow meter is sufficient; if it’s for external use, then a better flow meter is necessary. However, due to its high cost, it’s better to use a submersible pump – as long as it is properly maintained, the error margin of such pumps is relatively low.
High-precision mass flow meters, combined with compensation for factors such as temperature and density, and subjected to regular calibration (according to the **Measurement Calibration Regulations for Mass Flow Meters, the calibration interval for flow meters used in trade settlements shall not exceed one year), can meet the requirements of trade-grade measurement. Other types of flow meters can also be considered, but mass flow meters are more commonly used at present. It is recommended to combine tank metering or tank truck metering as well, to serve as a reference in case of disputes. Of course, tank measurement or tank truck measurement can also be used separately. There are also weighing devices such as floor scales and rail scales.
