I don’t know how to calculate the tower diameter and height. The tower uses CY stainless steel corrugated packing. I would like to ask everyone what other values and relevant formulas are needed. Also, I want to add a reboiler; I’m not sure how to calculate the heat exchange area of the heat exchanger. Thank you.
Find a equipment manufacturer to calculate the heat exchange area of the reboiler, and find a packing manufacturer to determine the diameter and height of the distillation tower. Search online for this information.
To be more specific, what is being separated? How is the material balance?
I have here an example file in .caj format regarding the calculation of the packing layer height and tower diameter for packed towers. I’m not sure if it’s what you need, but I’m not allowed to upload it. I’ll send it to you via email! I hope it will be useful to you as a reference. / Calculation of packed tower diameter – “Chemical Engineering Equipment Technology”, March 1983.
