At present, most coking plants use smokeless coal charging by spraying high-pressure ammonia water. Throughout the coal charging process, most coking plants manage this process quite well. In my opinion, it is mainly the cooling effect of the high-pressure ammonia water that reduces the volume of raw gas rapidly, thereby creating a negative pressure (suction). Additionally, the high flow rate of the high-pressure ammonia water drives the raw gas toward the gas collection ducts, further enhancing the suction effect. There is one issue I would like to clarify: if the pressure of the high-pressure ammonia water in 6.25-meter coke ovens is controlled at 2.5–3.0 Mpa, then by turning on one high-pressure spray, by how much will the pressure drop? It depends on how tall the carbonization chamber is. Generally speaking, 2.5 MPa is not sufficient to meet the requirements for smokeless coal charging.
For 6.25-meter rammed coking, the design pressure is kept between 2.2 and 3.6 MPa; in my opinion, during normal operation it should be within the range of 2.5 to 3.0 MPa, though this value needs to be determined through actual production experiences
It depends on the pipe diameter, the pipe pressure, and the tightness of the tee valve; different operating conditions result in different outcomes
Compared to the intermediate furnace, the pressure in the side furnace where high-pressure ammonia water is sprayed should decrease significantly; at least the flow resistance will drop a lot. Is it necessary to increase the nozzle diameter in the side furnace, with the diameter increasing gradually from the intermediate furnace toward the side furnace? To ensure a uniform negative pressure suction throughout the entire furnace
By utilizing the negative pressure created in the rising tube due to the jet force of high-pressure ammonia water, the large amount of smoke generated during coal loading is drawn into the gas collection pipeline, thereby enabling smoke-free coal loading.
At our factory, the outlet pressure of the circulating ammonia water pump for the 5.3-meter coke ovens is 5.4 kilograms; there are two gas collection systems, and the pressure of the ammonia water at the top of the two coke ovens is 4.3 kilograms. This value is provided for reference only

For 8# fangfei*nsheng, a spraying pressure of 2.5 Mpa is sufficient; as for how many nozzles can be used, it depends on the capacity of the high-pressure ammonia water pump – generally, 2–3 nozzles should not pose any problem
