You have already seen the scale marks above; the range is the range indicated by those scale marks; As for 0-20Am 5-36VDC, it depends on the accuracy shown by the display; if it’s 4 digits, but the value exceeds that range, then a notation indicating how many tens more are needed can be added next to the display.
I don’t understand what a “program” is. As for the functions of an intelligent digital display, they mainly include universal signal input and the ability to change the measurement range; all the scale markings mentioned by the original poster can be used
