1: My equipment was previously used for producing pharmaceutical intermediates; the purpose of the change was made a few days ago. The current use of this equipment is to convert used engine oil into diesel. 2: The equipment is a bit small; it’s an enamel-lined reaction kettle with a capacity of 5 tons. It has 2 condensers, and the height of the tower is 6 meters. However, when the temperature reaches over 100 degrees, water and oil come out together, or sometimes it’s water and sometimes it’s oil. I’m not sure what’s going on. I asked a few people who work in the oil processing industry, and they said that the temperature is too high. What exactly is causing this problem? 3: Their equipment is all high-quality, so why isn’t mine working? Waiting for an answer online, thanks! 1
The temperature is too low; waste engine oil needs to be at 350 degrees or higher in order to be cracked to produce diesel components. Moreover, without further refining, the oil produced should be dark green in color and have a rather unpleasant smell.
