According to the old standards, the cement grade produced as a by-product of acid production from phosphogypsum could reach 425; under the new standards, however, it can only be at the lowest grade of 32.5. The new cement standards have eliminated the 32.5 grade for ordinary silica cement, making it difficult to determine whether cement varieties with higher amounts of supplementary materials can achieve a 32.5 grade.
Cement produced by gypsum-based acidification can achieve very high grades, provided that the composition of the gypsum raw material meets the requirements of the cement formula; it is no problem to obtain a clinker strength of 42.5 or higher. The reason is that the intensity was low over three days, resulting in a low strength grade; a proper formula is very important.
