Reasons for large temperature differences: ① Uneven catalyst packing leads to uneven gas flow, resulting in large temperature differences within the same plane; ② Uneven distribution of cooling tubes or local blockages in these tubes prevent heat from being removed from certain areas of the catalyst bed, thus causing large temperature differences; ③ Uneven distribution of cold air within the reactor also leads to uneven gas flow and subsequent large temperature differences; ④ Tilting of the reactor or damage to its internal components causes internal flow imbalances, leading to large temperature differences; ⑤ Improper operation, such as sudden changes in operating conditions, can also result in large temperature differences. Solutions: ① If large temperature differences are caused by issues with catalyst packing or internal components, it is necessary to maintain the current situation or reduce production capacity while promptly checking to prevent further increases in temperature differences; ② Reducing pressure appropriately can help slow down the reactions in the higher-temperature areas; ③ Increasing the temperature of the catalyst bed can enhance reactions in the lower-temperature areas; ④ If the above methods do not work, it is advisable to continue reducing production capacity while keeping the system under low pressure, thereby gradually reducing the temperature differences. After some time, production capacity can be increased slowly again as pressure is raised; ⑤ If none of the above methods are effective, the reactor can be shut down temporarily. In this state, heat can spread through the catalyst layer, helping to reduce the temperature differences.
