1.0 Purpose: By managing waste generated in production and daily activities, to ensure that the waste produced by the company does not cause environmental pollution, and to meet the requirements of laws, regulations, and local environmental protection authorities. 2.0 Scope: This applies to activities such as the classification, collection, storage, and disposal of waste generated by the company’s production processes. 3.0 Definitions 3.1 Hazardous waste: refers to waste that possesses one or more of the hazardous characteristics such as corrosivity, acute toxicity, leachability, reactivity, infectivity, or radioactivity. 3.2 General waste: refers to non-hazardous waste generated in the company’s production and daily operations. 4.0 Responsibilities 4.1 Department of Safety and Environmental Protection: Responsible for sorting and organizing waste, as well as contacting qualified disposal providers to handle the stored waste. 4.2 Relevant departments: Responsible for classifying and labeling waste, and supervising their employees to dispose of it in accordance with these labels. 4.3 All personnel: Cooperate in the implemented classified management of waste. 5.0 Procedures 5.1 Waste classification: 5.1.1 The Department of Safety and Environmental Protection coordinates with relevant departments to identify all wastes and classify them. 5.1.2 Classified according to the types of waste specified by law, hazardous, non-hazardous, recyclable, non-recyclable, solid, and liquid wastes are separated into: paper, metals, plastics, hazardous waste, and household waste; refer to the \"Waste Classification Standards\" for details. 5.1.3 The Safety and Environmental Protection Department shall formulate the \"Waste Classification Standards\", conducting an evaluation at least once a year; any changes shall be made promptly. The contents include: A. Waste name/category; B. Storage location; C. Disposal method. 5.1.4 For new types of waste that arise, relevant departments shall promptly contact the Safety and Environmental Protection Department, which will then revise the \"Waste Classification Standards\" to include the corresponding information. 5.2 Storage of Waste Before waste is disposed of, its storage must be carried out in accordance with the \"Waste Storage Management Regulations\". 5.3 The handling of waste shall be carried out in accordance with the Waste Handling Management Regulations. 5.4 Waste Disposal The company does not carry out any internal waste disposal activities; instead, depending on the type of waste, relevant departments entrust specialized companies to handle it, in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. 5.4.1 Selection of waste disposal contractors: A. The selection of the contracting party shall be made in accordance with social and environmental considerations as well as relevant regulatory requirements, from among legitimate entities that possess the necessary experience, qualifications, and capabilities for such disposal (general waste disposal contractors need to have a \"business license as a legal entity,\" while hazardous waste disposal contractors need to have both a \"business license as a legal entity\" and a \"qualification certificate for handling hazardous waste\"). B. At the time of commissioning, the relevant responsible person should conduct an on-site inspection at the commissioning party in advance, and submit the results of the inspection along with an overview of the company to the environmental management representative for approval. Only after obtaining approval and signing a written contract between the two parties can the work proceed. C. The contract shall specify in detail each stage, including collection, transportation, and disposal. 5.4.2 Waste disposal: A. The Department of Safety and Environmental Protection shall, depending on the amount of waste stored, promptly notify the waste disposal contractor to remove it. B. When waste disposal companies come to transport the waste, the Department of Safety and Environmental Protection sends personnel to supervise the process to ensure that: 1) the operators handle the waste gently, without any dropping, dragging, or dumping ; 2) General waste must not be transported in the same vehicle as hazardous waste at the same time. C. Before transferring hazardous waste, the Ministry of Safety and Environmental Protection must submit a plan for the transfer of such waste for approval in accordance with **relevant regulations** ; Upon approval, the Department of Safety and Environmental Protection shall apply to the Shenzhen Environmental Protection Bureau for a \"Hazardous Waste Transfer Notification Form\". D. The Department of Safety and Environmental Protection must fill out a transfer form for each truckload of hazardous waste of the same type that is transferred. E. The Department of Safety and Environmental Protection must fill in the production unit field on the form accurately and affix its official seal. After it is reviewed, tested, and signed off by the processing contractor, one copy of the form shall be kept for records, the second copy shall be submitted to the municipal environmental protection bureau, and the remaining copies shall be given to the processing contractor. F. When handling waste, the person in charge of safety and environmental protection must verify the quantity or weight on site, and establish a \"Waste Management Record\" indicating the type, quantity, and disposal method of the waste to ensure clear accounting. 5.4.3 Waste disposal contractor management: For all waste disposed of through outsourcing, in principle, the person in charge of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department shall make on-site inspections once a year; the designated responsible person should also conduct regular on-site visits to check the disposal process, in order to verify the following items: A. Whether there is any risk of spillage or leakage during transportation ; B. Whether the storage and handling meet environmental protection requirements, and whether secondary pollution has occurred ; C. Is the quantity of waste measured accurately, and have the costs been settled? 4.5 Treatment records: The department responsible for handling the waste shall establish, or supervise the relevant client in establishing, treatment records, which must be kept for more than 5 years and are stored by the Department of Safety and Environmental Protection. 4.6 Exception Handling In the event of leaks or spills of waste stored within the company, or if waste leaks occur during transportation, proper handling must be carried out in accordance with the \"Emergency Preparedness and Response Procedures\". 6.0 Reference Documents 6.1 Record Control Procedure 7.0 Environmental Records 7.1 Waste Management Records 7.2 Hazardous Waste Transfer Notification Form
