I would like to ask everyone: when preparing pipeline construction drawings, I need to create a schedule of supports and hangers. This schedule requires the specification of the service loads and structural loads for various supports and hangers. How are these loads determined, or where can I find this information? The working load refers to the weight borne by the pipe rack, that is, the force exerted on the pipe rack by the pipes, as well as gravitational forces and similar effects. For example, in pipeline design manuals, the structural load is generally considered to be the weight of the pipe rack itself; standard values can be found in the standard drawing HG21629, while for non-standard cases, the values are determined based on the materials used.
