Our company is building a new methanol production facility, which includes a syngas compressor of the centrifugal type. Since it is a new plant, what spare parts are necessary for such a compressor?
Spares for use while driving the machine: 1. Filters for lubrication and control oil 2. “O” rings 3. Bearing temperature sensors 4. Vibration probes + extension cables + probes for measuring proximity 5. Displacement probes + extension cables + probes for measuring proximity. Spares for a two-year period: 1. Support bearings for the compressor (bearing shells) 2. Thrust bearings for the compressor (bearing shells) 3. Shaft end seals 4. Inter-stage labyrinth seals 5. Flange labyrinth seals 6. Oil seals 7. Filters for lubrication and control oil 8. “O” rings 9. Mechanical seals for the screw pumps in the lubrication and control oil system 10. Frame oil seals for the screw pumps in the lubrication and control oil system 11. Instruments and electrical components (determined based on the agreements with the instrumentation personnel and the availability of supplies)

There’s a lot discussed on the 2nd floor, and it’s quite comprehensive as well. I’ll add two items for long-term spare parts: 1) coupling kit and diaphragm, adjustment shims ； 2) Rotor. Additionally: 1) For maintenance, various gaskets for the pipelines are required (interchangeable) ； 2) The inter-stage seal is determined based on the compressor structure ； 3) The hydraulic mounting/dismounting tools for the coupling backup wheels, as well as other specialized tools that come with it, should be collected and managed promptly ； 3) Shaft end sealing——Dry gas seals are used nowadays; spare parts are necessary, as these seals are more prone to problems than bearing shells ； 4) The deterioration of lubricating oil does not occur suddenly; find a nearby supplier, inquire about the delivery time, and arrange for delivery as needed. Because lubricants are also universal, they can be considered uniformly by the factory ； 4) When the lubricating oil system is first established, the filters are most likely to get dirty, so it is advisable to prepare spares in an amount three times that amount.
