Do experts have a formula for calculating the number of baffle plates? I have a heat exchanger with a cylinder diameter of 309 mm and a length of 2931 mm. The design pressure for the tube side is 0.33 Mpa, while it is 0.44 Mpa for the shell side. The tube side is fed with coke oven gas, and the shell side uses cooling water. The working temperature of the tube side is 130/70, while that of the shell side is 32/38. Can the design requirements be met using 11 baffle plates? Could an expert please calculate it? Thanks a lot :D

Determining the spacing of baffle plates primarily takes into account heat transfer efficiency and pressure drop, as well as tube bundle vibration.
First, determine the position of the pipe ends according to the user’s requirements, and use drawings to identify the positions of the first and last baffle plates. Following the calculation methods specified in GB151, determine the appropriate spacing between the baffles as well as the effective length of the heat exchange tubes. Length/baffle spacing + 1 = number of baffle plates (take into account the significance of odd and even numbers)
