We currently have a sulfur-based acid production process that yields acid of high quality; however, to serve customers with higher requirements (for use in refining, for example), we aim to improve its clarity and color. Nowadays, customers have increasingly higher demands regarding acids; they are simply very picky. Our sulfur-based acid production system also encounters such customers frequently. What our company is doing at the moment is to improve the quality of the water used in the circulation tank process, as well as installing filters at the inlet of the drying tower to remove impurities from the air (this has not been implemented yet). As for anything else, we currently have no solutions.
In my opinion, the main focus should be on circulating acid, by improving its replacement frequency as well as carrying out purification procedures.
1. Enhance the acid circulation; change the acid more frequently at the beginning of operation. 2. The quality of process make-up water must be controlled to reduce impurities. 3. The filtration of air must be properly controlled to reduce dust from entering the system. 4. Ensure good quality of the sulfur source and proper filtration control of sulfur to reduce the entry of ash into the system. 5. Proper control of the acid temperature in the acid circulation system reduces the corrosion rate of the pipes, thereby minimizing the entry of iron ions into the acid system.
