May I ask whether the wastewater and waste gas generated by fixed-bed batch gasification in China currently meet environmental protection standards? What methods have been used?
Fixed-bed gas generation generates three types of waste: wastewater, waste gas, and waste residue. Wastewater: mainly includes cooling water from the gas generation and scrubbing towers, ash flushing water, and wastewater from sewage discharge. It is generally reused, with only a small amount going into wastewater treatment. Waste gas: mainly purge air, which is generally sent to a combustion furnace for burning and should contain pollutants. Waste residues: gas generation furnace slag; waste utilization, sold to brick and cement factories.
I would like to ask whether the exhaust gases resulting from burning air in the combustion furnace currently contain pollutants, and whether they meet environmental standards
The flue gas after combustion in the furnace contains dust and sulfur; a wet scrubber can remove both dust and sulfur, meeting all the requirements. If that isn’t sufficient, an electrostatic precipitator can be used, followed by a desulfurization tower that employs ammonia water as the desulfurizing agent – this approach is environmentally friendly and also allows for the production of sulfuric acid as a by-product, achieving two goals at once.
