Cooling air protection for thermocouple thermometers and optical thermometers in sulfur production furnaces

Our newly built 50,000 tons per year sulfur recovery unit is about to start operation, and I have a question for everyone: When should the cooling air for the thermocouple temperature sensors and optical temperature meters in the sulfur production furnace be turned on? Will the use of this cooling air affect the accuracy of temperature measurements? Is there any need to switch between the two types of temperature sensors, and if so, what is the magnitude of the discrepancy between the readings from these two sensors?
Does the thermocouple thermometer use cooling air? We didn’t use air cooling before; it kept breaking down. Could this be the reason? Could you provide a brief introduction to thermocouple thermometers, as well as their models and contact information?
Ask the same question. By the way: are the two measurement positions different? How do I switch? It seems no thermocouples were seen at the site; only infrared thermometers were visible
Our installation has not yet started. In the past, the old sulfur systems only had thermocouple thermometers, which would often break down during startup and shutdown processes, resulting in a very short service life.
