I would like to ask what type is commonly chosen for flanges with small pipe diameters? Is socket welding the more common choice? My medium is nitrogen and propylene, with a pressure rating of 2.5 MPA. Then can I choose a butt-welded flange connection? Is it necessary to choose flanges with socket welding or threading? ? I’m a bit confused right now
Gas pipes at 2.5 MPa can use butt-welded flanges. You can check the HG20592 series standards; they are available at Haichuan.
I think one can choose a flange connection with butt welding, or a flange with socket welding or threading.
