Regarding dry gas stripping

I would like to ask the experienced colleagues here: which is better to use, packing or trays, in a dry gas stripping unit? Generally, from the perspective of pressure drop, it is of course better to choose a packing; however, when considering the overall investment cost, trays seem to be sufficient for meeting the separation requirements. I’m not sure how to make the specific choice
