What are the bearing vibration standards for the following compression units, especially those used in flue gas turbines? For on-site labeling purposes
I saw that one factory reported a value of 80, while another reported 120 microns; there may be some differences among different manufacturers
Different units produced by various manufacturers will use different standards; follow the standards specified in your compressor’s manual.
For exhaust fans used in catalytic units, blower sets are typically used as complementary components. Information regarding shaft vibration and shaft displacement values can be found in the accompanying documentation; details such as temperature-controlled start conditions are also included. By consulting this documentation, one can find the design specifications or diagrams showing the instrument measurement points. Different units and manufacturers may have different requirements, but currently, centrifugal compressors seem to be designed in accordance with the API617 standard. Exhaust fans are usually of the YL type, and it’s likely that they follow the manufacturer’s own standards.

As mentioned above, one factory reported a value of 80 micrometers, while another reported 120 micrometers; differences may exist among different manufacturers. As for the unit used to represent the peak value of vibration, the unit that should be used on-site is acceleration in mm/s, with the standard value not exceeding 7.1 mm/s!
Upstairs, mine is the peak displacement value, not the peak value itself. Hood extractors are generally equipped with displacement sensors, using displacement standards. The intensity you mention is generally measured by handheld instruments, using the effective value of vibration velocity; this method is commonly used in devices that do not have online monitoring capabilities. Of course, there are also units that have shaft vibration as well as bearing vibration.
