Oil washing plan for boiler feed water pump (104J/JA) 1. Purpose of oil washing: To ensure the successful commissioning of the boiler feed water pump and turbine, and to extend the service life of these pumps, it is necessary to carry out thorough oil washing before their first start-up. This helps to clean the oil pipelines and prevents impurities such as oil residues, construction debris, dust, and fiber deposits from accumulating in the oil lines, thereby preserving the lubricating properties of the oil. Therefore, ensuring that the oil pipelines are completely clean is essential to guarantee the safe and stable operation of the boiler feed water pumps and turbines, as well as to extend their service life. 2. Oil washing scope: fuel station system, boiler feed water pump, and turbine oil circuit system. 3. Oil washing preparation 3.1 All oil pipeline systems have been reset. 3.2 All pressure gauges, differential pressure gauges, thermometers, and related instruments have been installed and calibrated, and are ready for operation. 3.3 The power supply system is operating normally. 3.4 The fuel tank and associated equipment should be clean, free of any foreign objects; flour should be used when cleaning the fuel tank. 3.5 All oil pipelines shall be chemically cleaned and purged to ensure there are no foreign substances present. 3.6 Check the oil heater to ensure it meets the operating conditions. 3.7 When filling the fuel tank, the fuel must be filtered through a fuel filter before it can be poured into the tank. Before refueling, the oil must be tested to ensure it is of satisfactory quality. 3.8 Remove the filter element from the oil filter; use a 120-mesh filter screen during the first phase of oil circulation, and continue the oil circulation until the quality meets the requirements. 3.9 In the second phase, switch to a 150-mesh filter screen, and continue the oil circulation until it meets the specified standards. 3.10 It is required that filter screens be installed at the inlets of all lubrication points. 4. Oil washing: 4.1 Ensure that the oil temperature in the tank is at least 30°C; otherwise, activate the heater. 4. Operate the gear oil pump and check that there are no abnormal noises. 4.3 After the pump starts up and operates stably, adjust the bypass control valve to maintain the pressure in the lubricating oil main line at 0.15 MPa. 4.4 The oil temperature during the first stage of oil circulation shall not be lower than 30°C, and the maximum oil temperature shall not exceed 70°C ± 5°C. The oil circulation temperature in the second stage shall not exceed 65±5°C. 4.5 During the oil circulation period, raise the oil temperature every 4 hours, maintain it at that level for 2 hours, then rapidly lower the temperature to 30°C and maintain it there for 1 hour. Repeat this many times. 4.6 After heating, strike the pipeline with a wooden hammer to ensure that all impurities within it are removed. 4.7 During the oil washing process, monitor the pressure difference across the oil filter; when this difference increases by 0.01 MPa, clean the filter element. 4.8 After cleaning the filter element, record the amount of debris present on it in order to keep track of the entire oil washing process. 4.9 After the oil circulation in the first phase is successful, 150-mesh filters are installed at the boiler feed water pump and at the inlet to the turbine lubrication points, after which the second phase of oil washing begins, during which the oil circulation is monitored. 4.10 During the cleaning process, if there are many impurities in the filter screen and the cleanliness of the oil does not improve, the situation should be analyzed and the following measures taken. Δ Remove the oil tube and clean it again. Δ Clean the oil cooler. Δ Clean the fuel tank. Δ Perform the first-stage oil washing again. 4.11 When the impurity level on the stainless steel filter meets the quality criteria, the stage of oil washing can be considered complete. 4.12 Drain the cleaning oil. Δ The oil is discharged externally through the tank’s oil drain port using an oil filter, and the oil cooler and oil filter are also drained of oil. Δ Drains oil from the pipelines storing oil. Δ Continue discharging until the remaining oil in the system is less than 5% of the fill volume, at which point the oil discharge can be stopped. 4.13 Clean the fuel tank and install the filter, then add the oil for actual operation. 4.14 Start the oil pump to keep the oil temperature within the normal range. 4.15 Repeat the oil washing process until it meets the requirements. 4.16 Check and remove each temporary filter screen. 4.17 The confirmation of oil washing quality is shown in Table 5. Safety precautions: 5.1 The oil circulation records must be detailed, with each operating parameter recorded every 30 minutes. 5.2 Check the pump inlet and outlet pressures and bearing temperature. During operation, the rotor and rotating components should make normal noises, and the operation must be smooth. 5.3 Open flames are strictly prohibited in the oil washing area and its surrounding zones, and a sufficient amount of fire-fighting equipment must be available. 5.4 Non-staff are not allowed to enter the oil washing area; those who enter must wear safety helmets, and open flames are strictly prohibited. 5.5 In the event of fuel spraying, ignition, or equipment failure, the machine must be stopped immediately and the power supply cut off; it can be restarted only after the fault has been resolved. 5.6 A dedicated person shall be responsible for powering on and shutting off the equipment. 5.7 Personnel involved in oil washing must remain at their posts and follow instructions. 6. Staff Composition and Responsibilities 6.1 Staff Composition: 2 fitters, 2 process engineers, 1 instrument technician, 1 electrical engineer, 1 safety officer, and 1 technician. 6.2 The Synthesis Division is responsible for leading oil washing operations and carrying out the oil washing process. 6.3 During the oil washing process, the technician is responsible for providing technical guidance as well as checking the quality of the oil washing. 6.4 During the same process, the safety officer is responsible for conducting safety inspections and providing safety guidance. 6.5 During the oil washing process, the fitter removes and installs the filter screens and taps on the pipelines. 6.6 The process team is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the oil circulation system. 6.7 The electrical and instrumentation staff are responsible for the maintenance of the electrical and instrumentation equipment during the oil washing process.
