Could you explain the context? Are you using safety analysis software like LOPA? In process safety, “credit” is often used to denote utility. For example, if a safety valve is not designed properly, even when installed on a distillation tower, it cannot be considered effective; credit can only be given if the conditions specified in …… (your original wording) are met, in which case the safety valve can serve as an effective protective layer.
Where can I find literature related to process safety valves, process safety, and credits? I want to take a look! You might be right; it’s impossible to be sure!
Should it be translated as “evaluation, prediction”? If there are no light components at the bottom of the tower, it is expected that the temperature of the reboiler can be reduced.
