Questions regarding grade group efficiency

Many books and numerous studies have mentioned that efficiency within a stage group tends to decline only when the load is reduced. Does that mean that adding load has little to no impact on the efficiency within a stage group, or even an impact that can be ignored? I would appreciate some advice from those who are more experienced, thank you!
The efficiency of a turbine unit is generally referred to under rated conditions; if it deviates from these rated conditions, its efficiency will decrease, whether the deviation is large or small.
