It provides good heat exchange efficiency and saves space. To reduce weight, it is necessary to take all various factors into consideration, such as any limitations on the layout.
Our previous heating furnaces for the raw materials in small catalytic processes used a vertical arrangement, while the furnace tubes in our larger boilers are arranged horizontally. It seems that this depends on the size of the equipment and the amount of space it occupies! !
Whether the furnace tube is horizontal or vertical depends on the properties of the medium being heated. The hydrogen feed heater is a vertical bottom-fired furnace with a double-radiation chamber featuring a single row of horizontal tubes and dual-sided radiation; there are 60 burners at the furnace bottom. Air preheated by a heat-tube air preheater is fed into the furnace from the bottom via an air blower, while the flue gas generated after combustion is drawn out by an exhaust fan and, after passing through another heat-tube air preheater placed on the ground, is released into the atmosphere through a common chimney. There is a baffle at the upper part of the flue; when necessary, this baffle can be opened to allow the smoke to be discharged directly into the atmosphere through the chimney at the top of the furnace.
