The catalyzed diesel in our facility is difficult to handle due to having been stored in the tank area for a long time; it is now being reprocessed from atmospheric pressure feed conditions back to atmospheric pressure. But diesel production has not increased. Are there any good solutions? Thank you!
If catalytic diesel is stored for a long time, the gum content increases; as larger molecular substances are formed and their amount rises, the boiling range widens. . . Therefore, during reprocessing and modification to improve the quality of the fuel, the increase in yield is not proportional; some of the components end up in wax oil or even residue oil. If the temperature in the heating furnace is high enough, thermal cracking can occur, resulting in the production of gasoline and gases. . . :lol
The 360-degree residue distillate amount is no more than 4 ml, which is similar to the level without reprocessing; in other words, everything that should have been extracted has come out. So where does the reprocessed black diesel go?
Stop refining it; do the decolorization treatment later! Is it the high loss during reprocessing or the high loss in subsequent processing? Calculate it yourself – use the method that is more appropriate
If that doesn’t work, use a terminator for the catalytic device
A long time ago, we also had some problematic black diesel that was difficult to deal with; we then contacted a chemical company in Beijing to handle it. It is likely that strong alkalis were used for this purpose, and the method worked fairly well, though the costs were high. After the leaders decided on a way to deal with it, there was no further follow-up.
