Please feel free to share with us what kind of gaskets are generally used in the refining equipment of your unit. For example, on the equipment, cold exchange equipment, steam lines, etc., if they are used with good results, please share them.
Basically they are metal spiral wound gaskets
All asbestos pads are not used. Generally, metal graphite winding pads are better. Corrugated pads are used for high temperature and high pressure, and metal octagonal pads are used.

Most of our gaskets are wound gaskets, which are internally reinforced and externally reinforced. We use high-pressure gaskets for hydrogenation, which are metal gaskets.
I think the use of sealing gaskets is mainly determined by the properties of the medium, such as pressure/temperature/corrosiveness, etc. We generally use graphite wound gaskets, inner and outer ring metal gaskets, corrugated gaskets, elliptical gaskets, octagonal gaskets, etc.
Nowadays, wound gaskets are generally used. Select according to pressure level. Asbestos gaskets have been basically eliminated. Asbestos gaskets cause a lot of trouble during maintenance.
We use metal wound gaskets, graphite steel ring wound gaskets (divided into inner rings and outer rings), and corrugated toothed gaskets are better. Generally, asbestos pads are no longer needed! ~
