Our plant uses screw pumps for sewage lifting. Since operations began, there has been significant vibration in the pipelines and pump bodies, and the stators have suffered considerable damage. What are the possible causes of this vibration? ? I hope the experts will be kind enough to share their insights!
Sewage lift pump? The viscosity of the medium is too low; there seems to be an issue with the pump selection. Screw pumps are designed to handle media with higher viscosities. Let’s make some changes; try using a submersible sewage pump or a long-shaft submersible pump. I don’t know what kind of device you are; just mention it casually.
For refinery wastewater, the lift is around 15 meters. Screw pumps were chosen initially to prevent oil from emulsifying in the wastewater; are there any other reasons besides the viscosity of the fluid?

You’re absolutely right regarding the issue of coaxiality. We replace the stator quite frequently; often, after removing the stator, we find that it is severely worn. However, it’s not clear whether this wear is caused by coaxiality issues ? ? This pump is secured with only 4 bolts – could insufficient fixation be the cause? ?
