What is ramming material and what are its uses?
A type of loose refractory material, which is compacted using tamping or vibration methods during installation to achieve density.
Rammed material is a non-shaped refractory material composed of refractory aggregates with a proper gradation, powder materials, binders, and admixtures. It is typically constructed using methods such as forceful ramming or vibration compaction. In the practice of furnace construction in China, it is commonly used in areas with complex structures and special operational requirements, such as the bottom of blast furnaces, aluminum electrolysis cells, electric arc furnaces, and boilers.
