Can methanol and refined oil be placed in a fire dike? Can methanol and fuel oil be placed in a fire dike? Can methanol and paraxylene be placed in the same fire dike? According to what standards? If they cannot be put together, then they should be divided into two tank farms. Are there any spacing requirements between the two tank farms? The methanol storage tank must be designed to be in a separate fire dike and cannot be mixed with oil or fuel. According to our factory's design, the spacing is 50M.
"Petrochemical Enterprise Design Fire Protection Code" Chapter 5, Article 5.2.4, Article 5.2.5, and Article 5.2.7 all have clear requirements. Article 5.2.4 Storage tanks should be arranged in groups and comply with the following requirements: 1. In the same tank group, storage tanks with the same or similar fire hazard categories should be arranged. 2. Storage tanks for boiling and overflowing liquids should not be arranged in the same group as storage tanks for non-boiling and overflowing liquids. Storage tanks for liquefied hydrocarbons should not be arranged in the same group as flammable liquid storage tanks. Article 5.2.5 The total volume of the tank group shall comply with the following requirements: 1. The total volume of the fixed roof tank group should not be greater than 120000m3 ； 2. The total volume of the floating roof and internal floating roof tank groups should not exceed 600,000m3. Methanol can be placed in the same fireproof container as the oils you mentioned. For specific layout and isolation settings, please refer to the "Design Fire Protection Code for Petrochemical Enterprises" and "Design Code for Petroleum Depots"
