Oil filling amount for BH chemical pump gearbox

How much oil should be added to the reduction gearbox of BH-type chemical pumps? A few days after adding two-thirds of it, the leakage reduced to a normal level. Is it a problem with the pump or was too much oil added?
I’ve never seen a speed control gearbox installed on chemical pumps; it’s probably a bearing housing. The ends of the bearing housing are usually equipped with labyrinth seals. It’s sufficient to fill the oil to half the level indicated on the sight glass – adding too much oil will cause leakage. The highest level at which no more leakage occurs is the appropriate oil level. . .
