It seems like you already have a considerable amount of data – values from both ends as well as the middle point – so the calculation results should be fairly accurate, with little error.
The biggest advantage of HYSYS is that it can perform cutting even with the minimum amount of data – at least 5 points on the distillation curve are sufficient. Of course, the more data there is, the more accurate it will be. If your simulation results match the actual data, then it’s pretty good
pro11 will attempt to cut when given 2 points, but the accuracy cannot be guaranteed. It’s not the case that more data means higher accuracy; what’s important is whether all the data points are available. For some heavy oils, only 50-60% of the necessary points are provided, and the remaining values have to be estimated using software, which significantly reduces accuracy. Therefore, in the case of the person asking the question, there’s no need to worry (as long as the accuracy of the available points is guaranteed)
