“\"Advanced\" coking units generally refer to \"three lows\" and \"four highs\". In other words, it features low investment, low energy consumption, low emissions, high online operation rate, high conversion rate (for high-value products), high automation, and high safety. Delayed coking is essentially a relatively mature process. Since it is thermal cracking, and the process parameters are generally simulated using the same computer software, there are also no significant differences in the materials used for the equipment. Moreover, each refinery accumulates its own operational experience, which helps to improve and optimize the process parameters. So, in terms of the process flow and operating parameters, everyone is the same. If your device does not reach the standard of its peers, perhaps the technical team needs to work hard to identify the bottlenecks. What is considered “advanced” today, compared to a decade or so ago, mainly focuses on “scale” and “automation” – for example, increasing the processing capacity of individual towers, using automatic loading/unloading systems for coke towers, and online coke cleaning technologies for furnace tubes. In these aspects, “new factories” and “old factories” are essentially distinguished from each other from an “advanced” perspective.

One is the content of C3 and above in the dry gas; at the beginning of last year it was around 20% in our coking process, while this year it’s between 4% and 5%, which seems quite good. But I’m not sure what level advanced companies keep it at One is the high steam output volume; I’ve seen some companies keep it at 10 t/h – I wonder if others can achieve that level as well. Our current value is around 12, so there seems to still be a gap. What about the free height of the coke tower, the circulation ratio, and the cetane number of coker diesel? I’m not sure what these values are for everyone
