The process heating temperature and the temperature at which the liquid is transported through the pipelines are primarily determined by the freezing point of the liquid being transported and the temperature at which hydrates form. Generally, the freezing point temperature of the medium is used as the control temperature, and it is required that the temperature of the medium at the end of the pipeline be at least 5°C above its freezing point to prevent crystallization and caking of the medium during transportation. Due to the significant differences in the composition of crude oil across various oil fields, the temperature differences are also very large. In different years, the transport temperature varies significantly due to differences in water content. For example, in a certain oil field, the predicted start-up temperatures in 2005, 2012, and 2020 were 40.6°C, 61.1°C, and 50°C respectively, while the terminal temperatures were 23.6°C, 20°C, and 23.5°C respectively.
