I. Introduction to the Exam Introduction to Certified Safety Engineers: Certified Safety Engineers are professional technicians who have passed a national unified examination, obtained the \"Certified Safety Engineer Practice Qualification Certificate of the People’s Republic of China\", and been registered as such. The English translation for Registered Safety Engineer is Certified Safety Engineer. Production and operation units, as well as positions related to safety production management and safety engineering technology, and intermediary agencies that provide technical services for safety production, must have a certain number of registered safety engineers on staff. Authorized by the **Commission for Economic and Trade Affairs**, the Production Supervision and Administration Bureau is responsible for carrying out the tasks related to the professional qualification system for registered safety engineers. The professional qualification examination for registered safety engineers follows a national unified syllabus, unified question-setting, and unified examination organization, and is held once a year in principle. **The Production and Supervision Bureau is responsible for determining the examination subjects, developing examination syllabuses, compiling examination materials, organizing question-setting, and coordinating pre-exam training and other related activities. Pre-exam training is carried out on the principle of separating training from examinations and on a voluntary basis. The Human Resources Department is responsible for determining the examination subjects, syllabi, and test questions, as well as organizing the administration of the examinations. Together with the **Production Supervision and Administration Bureau, it conducts inspections, supervision, guidance on the Professional Qualification Examination for Registered Safety Engineers, and determines the passing standards. Those who pass the Qualification Examination for Registered Safety Engineers are awarded the \"Qualification Certificate for Registered Safety Engineers of the People’s Republic of China\", which is printed in accordance with standards set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and bears the seals of both the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the **Work Safety Supervision Administration**, issued by the human resources departments of various provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. Application Requirements (I) Any citizen of the People’s Republic of China who abides by **laws and regulations and meets one of the following conditions may apply to take the Certified Safety Engineer professional qualification exam: 1. Hold an associate degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, and have at least 7 years of experience in work related to work safety ; Or hold an equivalent secondary vocational diploma in another field, with 9 years of experience in work related to safe production. 2. Hold an associate degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, with at least 5 years of experience in work related to safe production ; Or hold an associate degree from another specialized university, with at least 7 years of experience in work related to safe production. 3. Hold a bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, with at least 3 years of experience in work related to safe production ; Or hold a bachelor’s degree from another specialized university, with at least 5 years of experience in work related to safe production. 4. Hold a second bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, or have graduated from a graduate program, and have at least 2 years of experience in work related to safe production ; Or have obtained a second bachelor’s degree in another field or graduated from a graduate program, with at least 3 years of experience in work related to safe production. 5. Hold a master’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, and have at least 1 year of experience in work related to safe production ; Or hold another professional master’s degree and have at least 2 years of experience in work related to safe production. 6. Obtain a doctoral degree in safety engineering or engineering economics ; Or hold a degree from another professional field, with at least 1 year of experience in work related to safe production. (II) Professionals who meet the eligibility requirements for the registration examination for safety engineers, who were appointed to senior professional and technical positions by the end of 2002, and who have been engaged in work related to work safety for at least 10 years, may be exempted from the exams on \"Knowledge of Work Safety Management\" and \"Work Safety Technology\"; they only need to take the exams on \"Law on Work Safety and Related Legal Knowledge\" and \"Case Analysis of Work Safety Accidents\". (III) In accordance with the spirit of the Ministry of Personnel’s Notice on Issues Related to ** and Macao residents’ Participation in the Professional and Technical Qualification Exams Held Uniformly on the Mainland (Ministry of Personnel Document No. [2005]9), starting from the 2005 examination cycle, all ** and Macao residents who meet the requirements for taking the Certified Safety Engineer qualification exam may apply to take the relevant professional exams in accordance with the prescribed procedures and requirements. **When applying to take the Certified Safety Engineer professional qualification exam, Macao residents must submit their identification documents, a diploma or degree in a relevant field recognized by the education administrative department of the State Council, as well as proof of the number of years of work experience in related fields obtained from relevant professional institutions. (IV) The requirement regarding educational qualifications in the above application conditions refers to educational qualifications or degrees recognized by the **education authorities ; The requirement regarding the length of time spent in related business work refers to the total amount of time spent in such work before and after obtaining the required educational qualification, with the deadline being the end of the year in which the exam is applied for. III. Examination Subjects and Management of Examination Results Examination subjects: Laws on Work Safety and Related Legal Knowledge, Knowledge of Work Safety Management, Work Safety Techniques, and Analysis of Work Safety Accident Cases. Score management: The scores from the Registration Safety Engineer Professional Qualification Examination are managed on a rolling basis, with a cycle of two years. Those taking all four subjects must pass all of them within two consecutive examination years ; Those exempt from certain subjects must pass the required subjects within one examination year. IV.
