The pressure lead wires for the new hydrogen compressor instruments keep breaking. Have any of you experts in equipment encountered this problem? How did you solve it, and what were the results? Could you share your experiences with us?
Find the cause of vibration in this pipeline and address it accordingly! In addition, support is also added to the instrument leads.
What I observed was wear on the instrument leads; there was no breaking. The cause of the breakage was fatigue fracture resulting from hydrogen embrittlement, vibration, or shaking.
The most likely cause of the fracture is vibration. If this issue is ruled out, I think it might be that the gas inside the instrument’s pressure transfer pipeline is impure and has suffered corrosion, leading to minor vibrations that cause the fracture:$
I’m not sure what the cause of the fracture is; possible reasons include: 1. Fatigue fracture caused by vibration; 2. The heat treatment was not properly carried out during welding. 3. The welding electrode used was inappropriate ; 4. The material of the pressure lead pipe was not selected properly.
The vibration of reciprocating machines can be severe, leading to pipeline rupture. Major repair: (1) The foundation can be inspected; (2) The pipelines are inspected again and re-secured
I’m not sure if LZ has found a good solution or if the problem has been resolved. The pressure tap pipes for the new hydrogen compressors here also break frequently; we’re trying to find a solution – it’s urgent.
