The main companies that produce mist eliminators are Tianjin Lizhong, Tianjin Shunda, and Tianjin Zhangcheng (domestic brands). The primary filtering material used is fluorosilicone oil cotton; the efficiency of mist elimination is relatively low, the service life is usually between 8 months and one year, and the prices are relatively low. It can be chosen if there are no high requirements for demisting efficiency, or when using a liquid ring pump to transport chlorine. MECS mist eliminators offer high efficiency, a long service life, stable pressure drops, but are expensive. There are many models available on the market. Our company has chosen mist eliminators produced by Nanjing Montok Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.; they provide a good cost-performance ratio. Over the past two years, the pressure drop has remained stable, and no acid mist is carried out from the outlet of the mist eliminator, ensuring that the inlet of the turbine remains very clean. The manufacturer helps with installation and conducts regular follow-ups; the after-sales service is excellent. Now, all of our 300,000-ton PVC systems have been switched to this company’s products.
Our company also uses mist removers manufactured by Montok Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., and their service life is guaranteed to be over two years! We only deal in chlor-alkali (for now)

The filter elements for water mist traps and acid mist traps include domestically produced glass fiber mist eliminators as well as Brink mist eliminators manufactured by the American company Munmok. Domestic systems can only remove fog particles larger than 3um; those with smaller particle sizes will enter the system. Mengmoke has many more friends and is also more widely used. Even with technology, there’s nothing that can be done; although we support domestic products.
Monsanto provides this equipment, and their equipment is excellent.
The Brink demisters produced by Memmok Company in the United States are of good quality; our unit has been in use for 3 years without any need for cleaning.

When manufacturing chlorine drying system equipment, we generally recommend that manufacturers use Memox filters! ≥100% removal of 3μm particles, 99% removal of particles ≤3μm; virtually no water mist at the outlet of the demister
It is recommended to use Monsanto filters. Previously, with domestic glass fiber mist eliminators, the filters had to be replaced almost every month; since switching to Monsanto filters, no replacement has been needed in two years, and no significant changes in system pressure difference have been observed.
Use imported filter elements; domestic ones will cause an increase in the resistance of the acid mist collector after a short time, allowing acid sludge to enter the chlorine compression unit and affecting its lifespan
