What is the main difference between a fluidized bed coal gasifier and an entrained bed coal gasifier?
1) Fluidized bed gasification: It uses small coal particles with a particle size of 0-10mm as gasification raw materials. They are suspended and dispersed in the vertically rising air flow in the gasifier. The coal particles undergo gasification reactions in a boiling state, thereby making the temperature in the coal layer uniform, easy to control, and improving gasification efficiency. 2) Air flow bed gasification. It is a kind of parallel flow gasification. The gasification agent is used to bring pulverized coal with a particle size of less than 100um into the gasifier. The pulverized coal can also be made into coal-water slurry first, and then pumped into the gasifier. The coal material undergoes combustion and gasification reactions with the gasification agent at a temperature higher than its ash melting point, and the ash and slag are discharged from the gasification furnace in liquid form.
The three types of coal gasifiers, fixed bed, fluidized bed and entrained bed, refer to the combustion state of coal. The coal in the fixed bed is "fixed", and the gasification agent passes through the gaps in the coal to complete the gasification process. ; The coal in the entrained bed completes the gasification process in high-speed air flow. ; The fluidized bed is between the above two states.
