Question: What formula is used to calculate the flow rate of compressed air passing through a throttle orifice? Should it be calculated using the formula for the outflow of incompressible gases or the formula for the outflow of compressible gases? The inlet pressure at the throttle orifice is 0.3–0.4 MPa, while the outlet pressure is 0.1 MPa. Could someone with expertise please help! ! !
There’s no difference, because when you use software to calculate the size of the orifice plate, you should already know its flow rate

When manufacturing orifice plates, parameters such as the orifice diameter, the acute angle of the inner hole diameter, and the thickness of the orifice plate are all related to measurement and calculation.
