How many methods are there to protect the storage tanks in the tank farm from sunlight? ? ? I know that fixed water spray cooling systems can be used; what other options are there besides this? Since the project I am working on does not have a fire pump room, it is not possible to install a fixed sprinkler system! I hope the experts can help! ! !
I’ve seen more cases where spray cooling is used. Additionally, if there is no fire protection system, and the tank area requires heat-resistant facilities, then it’s best to invest effort in the tanks themselves. For example, by adding a cooling pipeline or a insulation pipeline on the outer wall of the tank.

The earliest and most common method was to use insulation layers; later on, cooling adhesives that have a strong reflective effect on sunlight were used in place of insulation layers. For small horizontal tanks, installing a sunshade is also a supplementary measure.
