The inlet of the reciprocating machine must not contain liquid; methods such as adjusting the process gas (to cool and separate liquids from gases) and draining liquid at the compressor inlet should be employed promptly. In fact, it is the cylinder that has the greatest impact on the compressor; severe liquid presence can lead to liquid slugging against the cylinder ; Damage to the inlet and outlet valve plates can be tolerated, but if the cylinders collide with each other, the consequences can be quite serious. Additionally, pressure has little effect on the gas valve; the opening and closing of the valve disc are achieved by the spring force on both sides of the disc and the gas pressure difference ; So, it has a greater impact on the exhaust valve leaf! If there is very little liquid present, it has little impact on the cylinder, but the valve plates of the air valves are prone to breaking!
