Construction workers use climbing, escalators, or pads to carry out work on pipe corridors or other projects that can be completed in a short time. It is impractical to build scaffolding for certain tasks such as replacing street light components, which can be done immediately; however, construction companies always strive to save costs, and even for projects with a relatively long duration, scaffolding is not used. My question is: under what conditions is it necessary to build scaffolding?

Sometimes a ladder can also be used to complete the work; when its use is optional, it is then that a leader’s sense of safety comes into play. At one construction site where I used to work, it took a whole day to set up scaffolding, just to carry out 10 minutes of work – the management’s awareness of safety is really crucial!
