Our company’s pilot plant is equipped with several reaction kettles. Previously, the reaction temperature was controlled manually by adjusting the amount of cold and hot water supplied to the jacket surrounding the kettle, based on the temperature inside the kettle, in order to maintain the temperature at around 70 degrees. I now want to change it to use TIC to control the tank temperature; I’m not sure how to do this properly. I hope the experts can offer some advice!
Regulating valve assemblies are installed on the cold and hot water pipes, and temperature sensors are placed inside the reaction vessel; the signals from these sensors are sent to the regulating valves.

The kettle temperature is required to remain stable; therefore, even with a TIC regulator installed, manual control is necessary, rather than automatic control. Installing a TIC is just for easier adjustment.
A temperature sensing sensor is installed inside the reaction tank, and control valve assemblies are placed on the cold and hot water pipelines. The signals generated by the sensor are sent to these control valves; initially, it is necessary to adjust the PID parameters.
