Our factory uses PDS transmitters. I would like to ask if the hand communicators of various factories can be used universally. In addition, is there an original HART hand communicator?
The HART handheld communicator seems to be more than 2,000 US dollars. It is a protocol jointly written and implemented by Emerson, FOXBOL, Holywell, and FLOWSEVER manufacturers. There are also other handheld communicators, such as BT200, used in EJA. I don’t know if the PDS transmitter can be used with HART, it should be labeled! As the saying goes, first-rate companies set standards, second-rate companies create brands, and third-rate companies talk about quality, which is a monopoly!
As long as the protocol is the same, the handheld terminal should be universal. But pay attention to the software version issue. If the device cannot be found with the same protocol, it may be caused by the late production of the instrument and the low version of the handheld communicator software. You can also try connecting a resistor of about 250 ohms in series.
It is not a universal handheld terminal but corresponds to the protocol. For example, hart corresponds to 375. ; The Brown protocol corresponds to BT200; the DE protocol corresponds to Honeywell SFC. These are the most common. There are many other communicators that I know but have never used, such as ABB Foxboro.
I've been looking for information on this for the past two days. There are dozens of EJAs in the factory, most of them are HART protocol. I am more concerned about the price, but it is not easy to find online. I wonder if anyone can provide the price information of various types of HART handheld communicators and recommend a product with high quality and reasonable price. . .
The first recommended HART protocol handheld communicator is of course 375, but it feels like it consumes a lot of power. Sometimes it runs out of power after using it, and the chain drops at critical moments, which is frustrating. The price I bought it two years ago was 36,000. I don’t know if it’s cheaper now. The software can be upgraded. Go to Shanghai to upgrade. It costs about 1,500. I have checked the official website, and you can also download the upgrade file yourself. The 375 only supports infrared interfaces, so don’t try it if you are not sure. Computers with infrared interfaces are no longer common these days. There is also a lot of software that supports the Hart protocol, which allows notebooks to communicate with instruments that support the Hart protocol through communication cables. However, there are not as many supported types as 375. This involves an authorization issue and is generally used on transmitters. The price is around three to four thousand.
