Why are guide drains installed on both the front and back of some valves? Some don’t have any added, and some have only one. What is the function of these drain pipes?
I don’t know either; I hope someone experienced can give me some advice
Protect the valves; for example, when the system is shut down in winter, it is necessary to drain the liquid from the device to prevent the valves and pipes from freezing damage
Generally, just one is sufficient. . . Unless there is fluid accumulation at another lowest point. . . :lol

Drain valves are used to remove residual liquid from pipes, to drain fluid before shutdowns or maintenance, and for anti-freezing purposes. For ordinary fluids, a single valve is sufficient; however, for toxic, flammable, or corrosive fluids, safety considerations dictate the use of either a double valve or a single valve equipped with a plug.
Adding reverse drains to the steam lines allows for the heating of the pipes and the removal of condensate before steam is introduced. Reverse drains on other material lines are used to drain any accumulated liquid during periods when production is suspended, thereby facilitating maintenance; they also help prevent freezing in winter. Adding reverse drains before and after control valves enables bypassing of those valves in case of failure during production, allowing the material between the valves to be drained for maintenance purposes, and this helps prevent injuries caused by high pressure and high temperatures.
