I would like to ask what considerations should be taken into account when selecting instruments for the chlor-alkali industry. For example, what about media such as dry/wet chlorine gas, alkaline solutions, and NACLO? What are the considerations regarding the membrane material and filling material of transmitters? As for control valves and shut-off valves, what materials should be chosen for the valve cores, valve stems, and valve seats, and what issues need to be taken into account? What considerations are there for selecting temperature instruments and flow meters as well? Thank you in advance; I hope you can share your expertise. haha. The brine system uses a diaphragm; Titanium is used for wet chlorine, but it cannot be used for dry chlorine to prevent combustion ; For general media, SS316L is used; for the internal components of control valves used with general media, SS316L is employed as well; for internal components of control valves used with corrosive media, polytetrafluoroethylene diaphragms or those lined with polytetrafluoroethylene are used: handshake
May I ask, for the capillaries used to measure pressure of dry and wet chlorine gas on the 2nd floor, must the filling be fluorine oil?
Chlorine must be handled with fluorine-based oils; silicone oils can react violently with chlorine, and this can cause problems if there is a leak.
