Usually, the condenser is placed on the top of the liquid inlet, so the liquid inlet is usually opened on the top of the tank.
Generally, it is opened at the top. If it is opened at or below the center line of the side, you need to calculate whether the maximum liquid level that the container can reach will exceed it. If it does not exceed it, it will be fine.
I saw a container like this at the equipment site. It is opened on the center line of the side, and the maximum liquid level that the container can reach exceeds it.
