Who can explain in detail the steps for starting and stopping the air cooling system for liquefied gas in a catalytic stabilization unit?
It seems that your plant produces a considerable amount of liquefied gas, and you use liquefied gas for air cooling; our facility only has gasoline-based and diesel-based air cooling systems. Actually, operating the air cooler is quite simple. First, it is necessary to check whether the air cooling equipment is in good condition (including all pipelines and motor belts, etc.). Generally, an auxiliary line is provided for air cooling; before using the air cooler, this auxiliary line is used. Before activating the air cooler, slowly open the outlet of the air cooler, and at the same time reduce the flow through the auxiliary line until it is fully integrated with the main flow. This process is the same as that used when activating a heat exchanger. Then check all the air-cooling pipelines for any leaks, finally start the motor, and conduct another thorough inspection. The method to shut down air cooling is the same as that for shutting down heat exchangers; air cooling just involves an additional motor.
We don’t have a liquefied gas air cooler, so turning it on and off is quite simple. Under normal conditions, just allow the medium to flow through; activate air cooling when the temperature is high and stop it when the temperature is low. There’s no need to overcomplicate things.
Theoretically, just like in a heat exchanger, during operation the cold flow should pass first, followed by the hot flow; when shutting down, the hot flow should be stopped first, and then the cold flow. In reality, the operation isn’t that complicated; if it’s working properly without using the bypass route, just increase the temperature when it’s high and stop it when the temperature is low
