Where does the atmospheric vaporized oil from the atmospheric distillation unit go?

Question: As far as we know, where does the vaporized oil from the atmospheric tower of a vacuum distillation unit go? Does it return to the bottom of the atmospheric tower or go to the bottom of the vacuum tower? Our old units return to the bottom of the atmospheric pressure tower, but many designs send it to the bottom of the vacuum tower. Which one is more reasonable? Emergency! Thank you!
Why must it be returned to the tower to be used as a catalyst feedstock? Whether it is increasing the tower height or reducing it, both increase the energy consumption of the device, with no other benefits for the product distribution.
1. Determine the boiling range by checking the freezing point – can it be used as heavy diesel or marine fuel oil? 2. Feed into the pressure reduction tower, extract diesel, and increase revenue. . . :lol
