Non-metallic pipe valves

In design, can the dimensions of various non-metallic valves be selected based on those of metal valves? Such as butterfly valves – DN400 butterfly valves. Metal butterfly valves come in flanged versions; do PP butterfly valves of DN400 also have flanged versions? If I want to find non-metallic valves, are there any standards?
This post was last edited by manman2000 on 2013-4-5 at 16:12. There’s no fixed standard; for plastic butterfly valves, the largest size I can produce is DN600. They are available in PVC-U, PP, and PVDF materials. However, all plastic butterfly valves have a single flange design, with none having a double flange design, while metal butterfly valves either have a double flange design or a wafer-style design! When designing dimensions, it’s not possible to use the standards for metal flanged butterfly valves – the differences are quite significant!
