Our factory has 5 DCS systems, all of the 300X type, which are connected to each other via fiber optics to enable data sharing. The measurement data from Workshop A, for example, is displayed incorrectly on the computers in Workshop B, but it shows correctly in the control room. We have also tested the network with PING commands, and it works fine. Has anyone else encountered such a problem?
How is it that no one has been able to find out about this after two days?
Check the configuration in each set of systems; it is usually caused by inconsistent configurations in the operation station. You can also check the fault diagnosis screen of Workshop B to see if there are any relevant alerts. Configuration synchronization can be achieved through network transmission.
The configuration and monitoring do not match; recompile it.
However, the flowcharts for the two workshops are different; it is merely due to process requirements that the flowchart for Workshop B needs to reference several temperature, flow, and pressure measurement points from Workshop A
It is likely that the configuration range does not match the range of the monitoring screen
The communication between the 5 DCS units is done via the OPC protocol, right? Check the configuration of Workshop B, making sure that the measurement ranges are correct.
If the configuration information on the control station is inconsistent, for example if several parameters have been changed, it can lead to errors in the actual operations. Such minor details often aren’t updated in a timely manner. It’s generally sufficient to ensure that there is consistency between Workshop A and the dispatch center.
After changing the configuration, the relevant points in the flowchart must be selected again for the latest data to appear. There is also data flash that has nothing to do with flowcharts; it depends only on whether the configuration you have modified corresponds to one control station or not

Are all the data incorrect, or just some of them? If it’s all, then you might have clicked on the simulate run mode. If it’s an individual case, then it’s because the data in that workshop configuration screen is pointing to the wrong location; it’s necessary to check and update it, then recompile before starting again
I’m not sure what the poster means by incorrect data – does it refer to the data not being synchronized in time with that of the original device? Or is it simply the case that the data is incorrect, that it’s impossible data? If it’s the former, check the time synchronization driver or reinstall the GPRS driver software ; If it is the latter, is the distance of the communication fiber too long and does a repeater need to be added?
